This video premiered at Sundance last January, and is Time Magazine’s No. 2 viral video of the year, yet somehow I haven’t had a chance to check it out until now. Nice and imaginative stop motion work and an interesting premise. Check it out.

Music Video — Niwouinwouin’s ‘Catastrophe’ Directed by Artist Jean Jullien

Artist Jean Jullien (covered previously) lent his unmistakable characters to this animated video for the song, Catastrophe, the latest 7inch release from his brother’s band–French-born, London-based electronic act–Niwouinwouin. Jullien also directed the clip, which follows around his version of Godzilla while it wrecks havoc on anyone in its path. Damn sweet video!

Boing Boing Video is vaguely involved with this new video for, “Spacious Thoughts” from the band N.A.S.A (North America South America), featuring Tom Waits and Kool Keith. Boing Boing also has an interview with the directors, Mark Lomond and Johanne Ste-Marie, who are better known as Montreal-based duo, Flourescent Hill.

It took an artist named Jamin 11 hours to draw two pages from the book Where The Wild Things Are in life-size and full color on a chalkboard at the D.C. offices of ad agency, Arnold Worldwide. The 1:50 video includes 1,500 still photographs time-lapsed into a nice montage. [Via Notcot #26328]

A bunch of retro posters were just released by Disney in promotion of the November 10th release of Pixar’s ‘Up‘ on DVD and Blu-Ray. Designed by an array of artists, the prints were created for inspiration during production of the film.
