Nose Hair Removal Presented as Dangerous Act in Need of Safety Mechanism
November 23rd, 2009 · Comments

Thankfully I’ve never had an abundance of hair growing from my nose, so the need for a safety mechanism on a nose hair trimmer seems dually useless. Nevertheless, ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi should be applauded for the sheer ingeniousness dumbassery of these Panasonic advertisements from Indonesia. They somehow entangled bunches of telephone wire and [...]

Who Knew Google Was Such a Gangster?

Pardon the slang, but Google has gone awfully street with its banners the last two days. Sesame Street that is. To celebrate the show’s 40th anniversary, Google graced its site with both Big Bird and Cookie Monster mastheads. For the love of god, give us Bert and Ernie next. But it’s going to be Elmo, [...]

The creative agency, DDB New Zealand, took a big chance by showing dead people in clothes they’re trying to promote. But it works. Really, really well.
Kudos.

Heineken R2-D2 Figure
October 2nd, 2009 · Comments
by Quincy Moore
Star Wars fandom has reached a new plateau with this R2-D2 figure built out of a Heineken mini-keg and some industrial materials.
Heineken has some of the best advertisements around, and I think using this little guy would probably boost sales in a niche market: geeks. They’d buy it out of sheer admiration!
Either way, this is [...]
