Have you ever wondered how neon signs are made? I did, and Google brought me to this video, “How Neon Signs Are Made.” The production quality isn’t stellar, but the information contained within satiates my curiosity about the process. It turns out it’s a much more complex undertaking than I imagined. Check it out.
Posh Tots asks you to consider how much you really love your kids. The small children’s furnishings company makes some of the world’s most expensive luxury playhouses. For the right price ($47,000), your little princess can sleep in the Palace Playhouse Bed. For $52,000, your little pirate can storm Red Beard’s Revenge (while you and 3-4 other adults drink mead in the captain’s quarters). Looking like miniature golf course obstacles on steroids, some of the prefab mini-mansions approach the prices of small homes (though not anywhere near where we live). But as they say in a footnote on their About page: “Don’t [your] little ones deserve it?”
23-year-old college student Britteny Schneck built this replica Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle van from scratch in about 18 months. Hardcore fans might notice it’s not a Volkswagen like the Turtles use in the show, and that’s because Schneck was forced to use a 1994 Dodge Caravan, which has cheaper and more easily accessible parts. Hit the jump for a bunch more photos, including one of the coolest license plates ever. [Via Jalopnik] |
