[Buzzfeed via Cool Material] Star Wars Family Portraits by artist Steven Quinn. Two more, including a family of Yodas and Pappa Vader in a red turtleneck, are after the jump. Check out more images of these odd masterpieces on Quinn’s Flickr page. [Via Dangerous Minds] For all you fellow typophiles out there, Web Designer Depot put together a great list of the fonts used by popular TV shows. The fonts for the shows above are as follows: Mad Men = Swiss 721 Heavy, Dexter = Soda Script Bold, LOST = Impact, Seinfeld = ITC Fenice Oblique, Weeds = Centurion, How I Met Your Mother = FF Dax, Modern Family = Helvetica 35 Thin and Didot Roman, The Office = ITC American Typewriter, and House = Futura Futuris Medium. You know, just in case it ever comes up in a game of Trivial Pursuit. Check out the whole list here. The Angry Birds Question Their Attack Strategy

[Laughing Squid via Geeks Are Sexy via Dorkly] Mel Gibson has been persona non grata for as long as I can remember. First it was his racist, anti-Semitic post-DUI rant, then his series of irate, threatening, misogynistic hilarious voice recordings, made by then-wife Oksana Grigorieva, hit the web, and finally, just as he was maybe going to make a comeback, the cast of the Hangover 2 protested Mel’s would-have-been-awesome cameo, resulting in his removal from the film. Luckily (I guess?) for Gibson, his friend Jodie Foster directed him in a forthcoming movie called The Beaver, in which an overwhelming depression leads to him wearing a beaver puppet on his hand in an effort to “create a psychological distance between himself and the negative aspects of his personality.” Unluckily for Gibson, yet so very pleasing to us, people have started recutting The Beaver’s trailers so that each time the puppet speaks he spits out various obscenities Mel screamed at Grigorieva from the aforementioned recordings. This video above is the best version, and one of my favorite mashups ever. I love the Internet. *Warning: Language is NSFW, unless you work at somewhere as cool as The Jailbreak Collective. (Click to Make Bigger) My parents must have seriously loved me wanted to win my affection, because from 1990 through 2006 I received pretty much every gift on the “male” side of this infographic and even some on the “female” side. I’m not sure why iPods, a Canon Powershot and the iPhone 4 are designated as “girl” gifts, but whatever. Brings back some memories. Amirite? [Geekologie via The Daily Bark] Yeah, I know, epic.
