Film: New York City, Miniaturized

1

Using a post-production technique called tilt-shift, director Sam O’Hare’s just-completed short film, The Sandpit, takes us on a memorizing journey though a day in the life of a miniaturized New York City. Maybe it’s because the stills used–of which there were 35,000–were taken during the hottest week of summer 2009, but watching this makes us nostalgic for a city we love when it’s warm.
