Kansas City-based fashion photog, Brian James, took a bunch of local folks and photographed them in public spaces holding signs–à la the homeless–for his “I’ll Say It For You” expose. Check out more of the series and a quote about the project below.

“This project started with the idea of getting a message across in a unique, yet traditional way. These sayings are thoughts that most people can relate to and that was the goal. I wanted something that could motivate and/or encourage a change in the reader, even if it is just a shift in their attitude.”

“I used locals to hold the signs. These are real people from different backgrounds, each with their own issues. They all seemed to enjoy the idea and the message they were portraying, which, made the experience and the photos that much better. We got some great responses from passers by, some honks, some whistles and even some assistance from the police!”

“This project is still in motion and I plan to continue it throughout the years. There are many more photographs to be taken, many more signs to be flown, and many more people to inspire. In the art of photography there are an infinite number of ways to express your thoughts and emotions, this is just one. I encourage you to get your messages across in whatever creative ways you can.” -Brian James
