Records in Living Color

0

Just found this project, “Colour of Music” by photographer George W. Benson, posted by our amigo Paul over at Dude Craft [Via Notcot]. Benson takes myriad record sleeves and organizes them based solely on their color schemes. Sometimes they’re random (like the multicolored version shown above), and sometimes they’re elegant in simple black and white. In each instance, “the resulting photographs create a rhythm of color, light and shade through an unseen collection of music; the genres of music [are] mixed with techno standing next to hip-hop next to rock next to house and so on.”

Additionally, Benson’s offering print versions of the photo series in three different sizes. Check out his website for more information. Six more included after the cut.
