Alliteration Always Amuses Admirers

Alliteration is by far my favorite literary device; probably due to the fact it was the only one I could ever remember during English class. It still remains a useful and ambidextrous technique used by poets and headline writers looking to spice up his or her prose. Edgar Allen Poe was one such poet who utilized alliteration always and often in famous works such as The Raven and The Tell-Tale Heart. This print from Philadelphia-based collective, Art in The Age of Mechanical Reproduction, takes the two and brings them together–using Poe’s name followed by a series of words beginning with “E” that together form a giant version of the letter. Pretty neat.

Purchasing and measurement info after the cut.

The print was designed by Michael Ryan, measures 15″ x 22.5″, and is a one color screen print on natural archival paper.

It’s limited to an edition of 20 and available to purchase here for $20.00.
