The Creative Review Blog has a really nice feature on the Studio Dempsey-designed series of album-cover stamps that the Royal Mail will be putting into rotation sometime next year. The project celebrates classic British album covers from everyone from the Rolling Stones to Coldplay (shown above) to The Clash and more. CR remarked that the collection of 10 sleeves rather curiously doesn’t include a cover from The Beatles.

Head over to CR to read the whole story. After the break you’ll find the other eight stamps, protruding disks and all.

First image above: Pink Floyd’s, “The Division Bell” and Coldplay’s, “A Rush of Blood to the Head.”

Blur’s, “Parklife” and New Order’s, “Power, Corruption and Lies.”

Led Zeppelin’s, “IV” and Primal Scream’s, “Screamadelica.”

The Rolling Stones’s, “Let it Bleeds” and David Bowie’s, “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.”

The Clash’s, “London Calling” and Mike Oldfield’s, “Tubular Bells.”
