Jakarta, Indonesia-based illustrator and photographer, Agan Harahap, takes photographs from mid-20th century wartime and political events like the Yalta Conference and Neuschwanstein and inserts iconic superheroes in them.
This is quite a novel idea and one that works on a number of levels. The presence of Batman beaming down on Fidel Castro might seem obtrusive, but Harahap has mastered his premise with subtle a touch. His inclusions actually seem to lighten the mood in otherwise somber situations.
Impressive, sir. For more info on Harahap visit his blog or his deviantART gallery.
