The Clipse-covered October/November issue of Complex Magazine was designed by KAWS. Very nicely done on the conceptual front.
While in the midst of a mid-life lull, artist David Edgar–always a fan of ‘found-object assembly’–began taking recycled detergent bottles and transforming them into aquatic creatures for his Plastiquarium series. Additionally, Edgar is publishing a book titled, “Fantastic Recycled Plastic,” due out in November and available here. 17 more after the jump.

I doubt Andy Warhol could have ever predicted that 1. paintball would be a popular, ahem, sport and 2. that a group of amateur artists could paint a rather accurate rendition of his famous Marilyn Monroe pop-art print with nothing but tiny balls of paint. This thing is awesome. It must have taken a good amount of planning, not to mention accuracy and skill, to pull this off and actually make it look legitimate. Created by Bon Yurt. Head over to their website to see another video that shows the planning process.
Artist Till Koenneker runs a design studio in Bern, Switzerland called “illDesigns.” His work is dope. Six more one on page two. |
