Literally everyone has posted this video over the past two days, and I finally gave in and watched the thing. And, well, it’s wonderful! “Combo” was created by Buenos Aires-based street artist Blu and David Ellis at the FAME Festival in Grottaglie, Italy.
Atlanta-based illustrator Mark Weaver has worked for Wired, Paste Magazine and American Airlines. More of Weaver’s work can be found on his Flickr or by following him @markweaver on Twitter. Three more on the next page.
These Alternative Motivational Posters from Right Brain Terrain are quite nice. Measurements: 18″ x 24″; Printed on recycled paper. $15.00, here.
French illustrator, Stéphane Massa-Bidal (a.k.a Hulk4598, or Rétrofuturs) has hands down the best online portfolio I’ve ever seen. That might seem like a bold and loaded statement, but there’s not even a close comparison. The illustrations in this post are just from the last month alone. His Flickr portfolio includes a total of 540 images, each one so fantastic you could get lost there for hours. Some of his work is available in print form on Zazzle, and otherwise you can find him on flickr, facebook, or @retrofuturs on twitter. Four more and an artist statement after the jump.
Ork Posters’ series of City Neighborhood screen prints might be old news to some people out there, but they’re too cool not to share again. 18″ x 24″; $22.00-$27.00; here. Manhattan, Chicago and San Francisco after the break.
I found a stunning sculpture of a child on Dropular earlier in the day and it led me to artist Gehard Demetz. I’ve spent some time trying to find out more about him to no avail. Either way, his work is captivating and worth examining for its surrealist and provocative undertones. Here’s his website. Four more after the jump.
