The Jailbreak Collective was asked to design a piece for the upcoming (ahem…) Super Group Suckoff 2.  (click the link for all the details on the show.  It’s in NYC, this Friday.)  In brief, the “Suckoff” is an event hosted by the “Sucklord” who is the emperor of “Suckadelic”.  Make of it what you will… I’ve met the Sucklord on various occasions and he’s actually quite charming (and, come to think of it, somewhat shorter than one might imagine but I digress).

Behind the facade of suckiness is an artist who is challenging notions of ownership and copyright in some really innovative, fun and totally irreverent ways.  If I’m getting the chronology right, Suckadelic built their name and reputation by making bootleg versions of well-known toys, like the ones below and have since grown the concept into a full on multimedia bootleg empire.

Anyway, when Jailbreak put on our Art + Action show last year, the Sucklord was kind enough to participate in the show and he made one of the more celebrated pieces.  As you can see below, he popped Obama’s head onto the body of his Sucklord 600 before painting it up.  So, for his show, I figured I might as well return the favor by popping Freud’s head onto (or rather into) our custom piece.
