The New Yorker just ran an interview with Israeli illustrator Noma Bar and it’s definitely worth the read. Bar has received a ton of press of late, with UK arts and culture magazine Varoom naming him the illustrator who “defines” his generation.
His book, “Guess Who? The Many Faces of Noma Bar” was released by Mark Batty Publishing in 2007 and can be purchased here for $19.95.
Inside you’ll find Bar’s vision of everyone from Harry Potter to Stephen King to Ozzy Osbourne. The New Yorker described his work perfectly: “…instead of drawing what people look like, he draws what they do—or, more correctly, what they are.”
Unbelievable!
